Carbohydrates are increased to 25 grams in the first week. The amount is increased by 5 grams in the subsequent weeks until you stop reducing the weight. Again, you have to decrease by 5 grams every week to sustain the moderate weight loss.

The objective of the third week is to maintain the weight loss by increasing the carbohydrate by 10 grams each week. This helps in maintaining the gradual weight loss.

The objective of final phase is to lay the foundation for lifetime maintenance of the optimal weight and good health. For this intake of carbohydrate in the proper amount is advised. A wide variety of food is recommended on this phase.

Atkins diet menu for the week

  1. 3 scrambled eggs with cream

 chicken salad – 6 oz. grilled chicken, 1 chopped hard boiled eggs, 2c dark salad greens, 1 tablespoon Romano cheese, 2 tablespoon ranch dressing
  1. Fish fry– fish fillets dipped in egg and coated in whey protein)
  2. 1 cup salad greens (1 thin slice red onion, 1/4 medium tomato, 1 cup broccoli rabe with butter)
Day 2
  1. 1 tablespoon cream,
  2. Atkins hot cereal
  3. 4 sausage patties
  4. cinnamon coffee (decaf) with Splenda and cream
  1. 2 cups salad greens, wrap slices of chicken, beef, ham, turkey, salami or pastrami
  2. 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing.
  1. 1 cup of salad greens with– 1 cup Asparagus, 1 tablespoon romano cheese, 1 tablespoon dressing of your choice
  2. Bacon bits

  1. 4 slices of bacon
  2. Almond coffee (decaf) with splenda and cream
  3. Mock Danish
  1. 1/3 Tuna Dip
  2. Pork rinds
  3. 1 cup salad greens
  4. 1 tablespoon dressing of choice
  1. 1 and 1/2 cups meatsauce
  2. 1 cup of Spaghetti squash
  3. Sprinkle the above with 2 tablespoon of Romano Cheese
  4. 2 cups of salad with 2 tablespoon dressing
Day 4
  1. 3 soft or hard boiled eggs
  2. 4 turkey sausage links
  3. decaf coffee or tea
  1. chef salad ( chopped eggs, Turkey strips, ham strips and grated cheese over 2 cups of salad greens)
  2. 2 tablespoon dressing
  1. 1 cup of salad greens
  2. 1 cup of cauliflower with cream and butter.

  4. Lamb roasted in Rosemary sprigs and mint.
Day 5
  1. Omelette
  2. 1/2 ham steak
  3. Decaf coffee or tea
  1. 2 cups salad greens
  2. 2 tablespoons dressing of choice
  3. Salami and cream cheese roll-ups
  1. 1 cup of broccoli
  2. Creamy almond chicken
  3. 1 cup of salad greens
  4. 1 tablespoon dressing of choice
Day 6
  1. 2 boiled eggs
  2. 4 Atkins mini- muffins
  3. Decaf tea or coffee
  1. 8 oz. thinly sliced grilled beef steak
  2. 1 thin sliced red onion
  3. 1 cup salad greens
  4. 1/4 small, sliced tomatoes
  5. 2 tablespoons dressing of choice
  1. 1 and 1/2 cups Taco meat
  2. Taco Salad
  3. 2 tablespoons of Taco sause
  4. 2 tablespoons of grated cheese
  5. 2 cups salad greens
  6. 1/4 cup of chopped tomato
  7. 2 slices of chopped onion
  8. 1/4 cup of sliced Avocado
  9. 5 sliced black olives
  10. 1 tablespoon sour cream
Day 7
  1. Scotch eggs
  2. Decaf tea or coffee
  1. 12 buffalo wings
  2. Blue cheese dip
  1. Pork chops
  2. 1 cup mashed cauliflower (mash it with 2 Tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon cream). Add salt and pepper.
  3. 2 cups of salad greens
  4. 2 tablespoons dressing of choice.

How to prepare Mock Danish?

Ingredients: 3 oz. soft cream cheese, 1 tablespoon splenda, 1 egg, 1/4 tablespoon vanilla, 1 tablespoon Atkins hot cereal, pinch of cinnamon, linseed meal or flax.

Instructions: Mix the above ingredients well and put it in a shallow tray (preferably a tupperware lid). Microwave for 3 and 1/2 minutes. Spread splenda-sweetened cream cheese.

Tuna Dip recipe

Mix the following ingredients: 1 can drained Tuna, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 4 sugar-free chopped gherkins, 4 oz. cream cheese, salt and pepper to taste.

Meat sauce recipe

Ingredients: 2 pounds of ground beef or Italian sausage, 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic, 2 tablespoon say sauce, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon of beef powder, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 small can tomato paste, 2 teaspoon basil, 1/2 to 1 cup of water and 2 teaspoon oregano.

Instructions: Brown the meat and add other ingredients. Simmer it for 10 mins.

Omelette recipe

Take 3 scrambled eggs with 1/4 cup cream. Add 2 tablespoons of “Feta, Spinach and Pecorino” pasta. Stir through sauce.

Creamy Almond Chicken

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon celery salt, 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon curry powder, 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts, 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, 1 cup whipping cream, 1/2 cup sliced or slivered toasted almonds.

Instructions: Grease the shallow 3 quarter baking dish. Arrange the chicken breasts on the dish. Mix the above seasonings and cream. Pour the seasoned cream on the chicken breasts. Bake it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Keep the almond slices on its top. bake it again for 5 to 10 minutes.

Scotch eggs

Form the shell of sausage meat into muffin cups. Add the scrambed eggs mixture into each shell. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Buffalo Wings

Fry the chicken wings over medium-high heat in oil. Fry untill it get crispy. Roll it on 1 tablespoon of garlic Tabasco sauce.

Pork Chops

Fry pork chips. Remove it from the pan. Deglaze the pan with cream and let it reduce. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
